Product Description

"Please God, if you're listening, keep Rachel safe." She couldn't turn her back on her family in their time of need. So when her sister was injured, financial expert Andrea Hampton traded the big city for Amish country to help turn her grandmother's house into an inn. But life with the Plain People took a treacherous turn when a string of accidents and pranks threatened her family. Someone didn't want the secrets the old house harbored to come to light. Trusting anyone-even the handsome carpenter who seemed so genuine-was a battle for Andrea, but her life depended on her ability to find the truth.

3 out of 5 stars A good book that teaches lessons w/out being preachy   September 4, 2010
Steeler Fan
I really enjoyed reading this Christian novel. The main character is Andrea Hampton, professional working woman, whose work is all she has in her life; however, when her sister is hurt, she returns home and finds out that her life's priorities are out of whack. Andrea journey home was really a journey of self-discovery and ultimately love.

This was a enjoyable quick read and I really enjoyed the life messages contained therein.

3 out of 5 stars Quick Read...   August 23, 2010

Becuase this book was free I can't complain too much. The read was easy and fast, definately a "short story"...I read it throughout a day. The religious overtones aren't over bearing and neither is the romance, although the romance seemingly took forever to start up! Overall a good book.

5 out of 5 stars Surprisingly great read,   August 9, 2010

I normally don't read this sort of novel! This one was a real surprise. The Christian angle was not over played. The romance was not over done! There was no blatant sex. What there was was a well written mystery with reasonable character development. It is obvious to an avid reader that we will see more of the characters as the author continues their story line in future books!

As a disabled person on a fixed income I will allocate some of my limited funds to buy this author in the future!

4 out of 5 stars Easy, light mystery   August 7, 2010

This novel was an easy, light read for times when you don't really want a lot of action, suspense, or thought-provoking moments. There were enough clues to keep the reader guessing, and the plot moved along at a good pace so I never got bored. I would say that I guessed half of the ending as far as the "who dunnit" aspect without really trying, but there was still a surprising twist that I didn't foresee. The Amish undertones are very subtle--this certainly isn't a book that will teach you a lot about the fascinating people or their way of life. The Christian aspect is present, but is much lighter than I've found in other novels labeled "Christian Fiction". It is unmistakeable, however, so if you find that distracting this is not the book for you.

And as a Christian novel the romance is very chaste. It was a quick read and pretty much delivered what I'd expected given the genre. If it is still available as a freebie for Kindle owners I'd rec. it if your tastes are similar.

4 out of 5 stars Hide in Plain Sight - What a Great Start   August 6, 2010

I thought this book was great. The characters were well represented throughout. The romance was there in a cute subtle way. I've already purchased the remaining books in this series and can't wait to get started.Hide in Plain Sight (Three Sisters Inn, Book 1)
