Want a cup of your favorite Starbuck's coffee? Your favorite flavored coffee? With the COFFEEDUCK you are no longer stuck paying the high price for Senseo coffee pods! (for best results use a fine grind)

The best senseo solution June 19, 2010 PaulaJones (Texas) I love my senseo but I think the name brand pods are too expensive for everyday use. I have tried all kinds of refillable pod systems and even the make your own podmaker. The coffeeduck is the only one that I have found that makes good frothy coffee quickly and easily every time. The lid to my coffeeduck had a bad experience in the garbage disposal recently and after revisiting all of my other pod systems I have decided to just throw them all away and reorder a new coffeeduck.
Ecopads are better May 8, 2010 Aaron Kunz (Columbia, MD) I have a Senseo SL 7810 and a Capresso Inifinity burr grinder, and I wanted to be able to use my own coffee beans with the Senseo. After reading all the reviews for the Coffee Duck and all the reviews for the Ecopads, I ended up buying both.
I really didn't like the Coffee Duck at all - the lid just sits on top and doesn't hold the coffee grounds very well. This means a big mess when you try to take the thing out of your Senseo after using it, because the 'duck retains some water and the lid will be "floating" atop a mound of hot coffee grounds sludge and will be dripping. At least with the Ecopads you can keep them closed while you walk over to the trash can to empty them.
Some people have said that there's a trick to using the Coffee Duck, but I tried all sorts of combinations of grinding/packing/not packing/filling/under-filling/over-filling and the result was always undrinkable with a lot of mess. Very little crema too.
In my opinion, the Ecopads make a much better cup of coffee and are easier to fill and clean. Plus they cost half as much as the Coffee Duck.
Awesome invention April 24, 2010 R. L. Cutting (LOMIRA, WI, US) The coffee duck has been a wonderful invention to save money on purchasing coffee pods. You buy a large can of coffee grounds or beans (and grind your own) and you're set for weeks!
use it everyday and bought two! April 13, 2010 njstitch (NJ) I have been using this item for almost a year. I am disabled and usually homebound - but I like good coffee, hate using pods, and have a senseo. What a great product! Never any problems unless coffee ground too fine or overfill the pod - then water spitting all over kitchen! Doesn't matter what type of sale coffee I use - still great! I do microwave the milk in my mug first though for hotter coffee. Highly recommend!
Replaced our Broken $600 Saeco Magic Deluxe with this February 27, 2010 Jewels of Nature 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ok - this will never really make as good a cup as a Saeco super automatic but,, for a $500 savings I can certainly live with it.
When the Senseo eventually dies, I can just go to the thrift store and get another one for $10...
We also own a Bialetti Brikka pot for later in the day when I want a (really, really) good cup with "Crema". Check the reviews here on Amazon.
PROS:
1. If you are reasonably careful filling your Duck, no leaks or spills will occur.
2. Play around with different amount of coffee/cup size setting combos, and you can get a pretty good flavor to suit your style.
3. Hit the switch and enjoy the savings....
Cons: None
